SpiriTaos is private property that is owned by wedding officiant, Dan Jones. This gorgeous spot has Taos Mountain as the exquisite backdrop for private wedding ceremonies. Have I mentioned that Dan is a professional landscaper and gardener? SpiriTaos was already gorgeous but has been getting a facelift these past eight months, and although it’s not complete yet, Toni and Steven were able to enjoy their wedding with the grassy meadows and beautiful views. The sun sets perfectly for a stunning golden hour light on the faces while still capturing Taos Mountain in the background. I can’t wait until this venue is completed, it’s one of the most perfect wedding venues in Taos.
New Mexico is known for it’s gorgeous sunshine and warm spring days. But not every outdoor wedding in New Mexico can be planned in advance and still have perfect weather on the day of the celebration! Stephanie and Trevor happened to get a cloudy, somewhat cool and breezy, April wedding day in the mountains of Taos. And it was perfect. The clouds set a dramatic mood along with Stephanie’s hat and Trevor’s purple tie. The horse across the street was out and about because of the cool temperatures. The gardens at SpiriTaos, still in hibernation but beautiful with earth tones and mountain views. Congratulations to this couple and their happily ever after that will be full of sunshine, no matter the weather.
The Enchanted Circle is a 80 mile scenic-byway that circles through Northern New Mexico. The rural beauty of this area is exquisite as it’s dotted with old mining towns, camping areas, forest and mountains, lakes, canyons, and meadows. Cara and Jim love tiny breweries and seek them out, this is their hobby! When they discovered Comanche Creek Brewery, they were certain that it would be the site of their New Mexico elopement which happened last month! Their December, pandemic elopement, was our last elopement package in 2020. It was a gorgeous morning in late December and there was not a cloud in the perfect blue sky. A fresh blanket of snow and the seven degree temperature definitely reminded us that it was wintertime! True to form, Dan Jones of Embracing Ceremony officiated a gorgeous ceremony that encapsulated how this couple met and beauty of the mountains and snow around us. A wedding to remember and a thought: there is nothing like a New Mexico wedding!!
After the beautiful snow at the Taos Ski Valley, it was easy to decide that the ski valley would, in fact, be the most stunning place in Taos County to have a wedding elopement! With Embracing Ceremony officiating, this Texas-couple was wed in the mountains of Northern New Mexico in fresh powdery snow. Adorned with snow boots and a perfect white jacket, the bride was one with the snow and didn’t complain of the cold. Here’s to wintertime weddings, sunny afternoons, and tons of snow!
It was the hottest day of 2020 during this midafternoon vow renewal and elopement package, the grass was crunchy and the earth radiated extreme New Mexico heat at 104 degrees. This couple was as cool as cucumbers at their vow renewal at Bareiss Gallery at the blinking-light in Taos, NM. Katy and Daniel and their cutest-in-the-world baby had a pandemic get away from Colorado to Taos, NM for their private ceremony in front of sacred Taos Mountain. After this couples initial wedding five years ago, these two went through hell and back. This ceremony was a symbol of their renewal and promise of love and light. Although officiant Dan Jones, and I were suffering from the heat, this husband and wife were so into each other and only noticed one another and the babbling of their baby. After the wedding ceremony, this couple had a champagne toast with the owner of Bareiss Gallery and we ran around the sculpture garden for a few fun shots.
