Pandemic Wedding Elopement with Best Friends

Pandemic Wedding Elopement with Best Friends

Since traveling by air is considered risky behavior during a pandemic, this bride and groom brought their best friends to Taos, NM on a road trip all the way from San Francisco! We had perfect weather for this December wedding and with the wedding ceremony and mini-reception taking place outdoors. The sun was overhead and warm during the afternoon ceremony overlooked by Taos Mountain.

This July afternoon was a gorgeous day for a green meadow wedding! The Taos Mountains looked on as Susan and JR said their wedding vows to each other with Dan Jones presiding over their wedding ceremony. Susan wore a blue wedding dress and had a matching mask for her pandemic wedding elopement. JR wore a white button down and sported an American flag buff. Per most couples, Susan and JR had to pivot with their large wedding plans to follow the health order and New Mexico Coronavirus guidelines that were placed when the state shut down in May. This elopement was lighthearted and fun despite the serious state of emergency our country is in. Although JR and Susan live in Albuquerque, they have a second home in Angel Fire that they like to visit when they escape to the mountains.

This was a destination wedding and an elopement all rolled into one! Lisa and David were married by officiant, Dan Jones of Embracing Ceremony, at SpiriTaos on the north side of Taos, NM. These two have been together for years, and somewhat spontaneously decided to have a private ceremony to profess their love for one another. The ceremony was performed during the golden hour, which gave a lovely yellow hint of light on the winter landscape. Dan’s ceremony was beautiful and attracted a hawk that made himself known a few times during the sunset ceremony.

These locals brought their best friends and closest family for a lovely ceremony with Taos mountain views and a beautiful garden! Hannah and Ryan couldn’t have known that they would get the best night in June for their outdoor summertime ceremony. The temperature was perfect and the breeze was ever so slight. The priority photos for this bride and groom were romantics, so we had fun walking around and getting creative.

We had beautiful April weather for this outdoor Taos wedding with Pueblo Peak as the altar backdrop. This bride and groom intentionally were wed on Earth Day, to honor Mother Earth and their shared love of nature. Lovers of Taos and northern New Mexico, this was a destination wedding as the couple traveled here from Texas! Both sets of their parents also took planes, trains, and automobiles to get to this off-the-beatten=path unique southwest town.
