We took these photos before the snow hit, the non-snowy scenery actually looks funny to me now as we’ve had so much snow in the last few weeks and the ground has been covered!
Tamika is 3-years-old and is a princess and wiggle worm and a delight! The afternoon was cold and there was a slight (but brisk) breeze; this little girl didn’t complain once!

It’s October and in Taos the leaves are just starting to fall! There are slight yellows along with the greens in the leaves and grasses. The air is crisp and it’s easy to get those delicious rosy cheeks that are so wonderful in autumn photography. The temperatures are still warm considering what we will be shooting in next month, and the leaves will be golden in just another week or two. We were able to capture this Grandma and Grandpa with their kids and grandkids at this shoot in the beautiful, green forest in the Black Hills of South Dakota! The fun part of this shoot was doing the posing, smiling, and shots as fast as we could as the light kept growing darker and darker and the thunder sounding closer and closer! In 30 minutes we got photos of the entire group, headshots of all of the adults, the couples together, the kids together, each individual family, all of the children individually, and the grandparents with their grandchildren. That’s some fast shooting!!
What fun to go to Red River and take portraits of this beautiful family! We took these photos behind the Red River Convention Center; I was so pleased we had so many backgrounds to choose from (ie tall grass, the river, trees, mowed green grass, etc)! Even after traveling from Texas, these children were happy and well-behaved and easy to photograph. Our shoot took under 60 minutes and these smiles will last a lifetime. This couple is busy getting ready for their wedding on Easter weekend! Monique and Miguel will celebrate their wedding with a small ceremony and reception of close friends and family. This marriage will take place at Stella’s with dinner and drinks to follow. There is also talk about getting a limousine for the traditional drive (and lots of honking) around the Taos plaza!
