Fall Leaves and Love

Fall Leaves and Love

After a few cold nights in Taos, we were worried that our “autumn leaves” photo shoot would be a bust! We found some brilliant colors in the gardens of the Henningsen Fine Art Gallery. The pond reflected the yellows beautifully, the leftover berries brought color and texture to the bare trees, and the leaves on the ground were so photogenic as a background!

Engagement Shoot Prep for Winter Wedding

Engagement Shoot Prep for Winter Wedding

An engagement sitting is an opportunity for the future bride and groom to meet their photographer and for us all to get to know one another before the wedding day. An engagement shoot can be done at the Taos location of your choice. We usually encourage our clients to bring a change of clothing so we can get some more casual photographs, and some more dressy pictures as well. This couple will tie-the-knot at a winter wedding in Red River, NM.

A Mama, A Papa, and Two Beautiful Babies

A Mama, A Papa, and Two Beautiful Babies

Jessica and Mario are very busy parents of the cutest set of twins! Speaking as an experienced photographer, it is extremely difficult to get one kid to look (and smile) at the camera, what an extra challenge to get TWO children to cooperate! We all laughed as we chased around these kiddos, trying our hardest to get the kids in the right place at the right time. The fun never stops during family photography sessions!

Family Photo Session

Family Photo Session

Amanda and Jason will be wed in Taos at the end of June. In March, they were in town to do tastings for their wedding dinner and cake, it was a perfect opportunity for us to meet in person and take some engagement and family photographs!
I have some “tricks” up my sleeve to get children to look at the camera and smile. When I pulled out these “tricks,” little Emma got scared! Thanks to her big brother, Emma found her smile and this family photo shoot turned out beautiful.

Family Fun at Photo Session

Family Fun at Photo Session

The first photo shoot I did for this family is when Cielo was a newborn baby, that was over six years ago now! It’s hard to believe that I have been a business owner and photographer in Taos for seven years now, and before that a professional photographer in Albuquerque for three additional years. It’s hard to believe how the last ten years have flown!
Happy New Year to all of my clients, the young and the old. Thank you so much for making the last ten years of my life so special and so memorable–here’s to (at least) ten more years of smiles!!
