Engagement Shoot Prep for Winter Wedding

Engagement Shoot Prep for Winter Wedding

An engagement sitting is an opportunity for the future bride and groom to meet their photographer and for us all to get to know one another before the wedding day. An engagement shoot can be done at the Taos location of your choice. We usually encourage our clients to bring a change of clothing so we can get some more casual photographs, and some more dressy pictures as well. This couple will tie-the-knot at a winter wedding in Red River, NM.

Bride and Groom’s Destination Wedding to Taos, NM

This couple came to Taos to elope, why? Because Taos is their favorite town in the Land of Enchantment! The day was absolutely gorgeous with that perfect Northern New Mexico warmth and breeze in the air. The wedding ceremony took place at local bed and breakfast Hacienda del Sol and the newlyweds had a lovely dinner at local restaurant, “The Love Apple.”

Summer Family Photographs

Poetic Images been photographing this family for over six years, what a joy to have such fun people for repeat business! During your family photo session, we will take photos of the group of you as a whole, individual photos of each family member, and “couples” shots (Mom/Dad together, mom/child together, dad/child together, children together, etc). We also encourage your family to bring a change of clothing for some more dressy photographs and some more casual photos as well.

“A pow wow is a gathering of Indian Nations in a common circle of friendship.
Indian Country is made up of many tribal nations, bands, villages, and pueblos, each with their own traditional tribal beliefs and practices. A pow wow is the common fiber which draws Indian people together. It is a time for sharing with old friends and making new friends; a time for singing and dancing. It is a time for trading; trading craft goods and trading songs.” –by Richard Archuleta (taken from the Taos Pueblo website)

Wedding Under Taos Cottonwoods

Amanda and Jason came to Taos from Albuquerque to recite their wedding nuptials at the green resort, El Monte Sagrado. This June day was absolutely perfect for a wedding. The grass was green and the flowers around this resort were in bloom and fragrant. The reception followed the ceremony in the Rio Grande Ballroom where the bride and groom had their first dance. The wedding party consisted of four girls, four guys, a flower girl, and a ring bearer.
