This young couple drove 12 hours to get married on the mesa in Taos, NM! With the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge so beautiful in the background, Dan Jones navigated through the vows (and the wind) until this ceremony was sealed with a kiss. After the sunny wedding ceremony, we all drove to Taos County Courthouse since the bride and groom had forgotten to do their legal paperwork prior to their wedding day! We all had a good laugh and captured a few more photos at the courthouse to document the error. Congratulations to these fantastic newlyweds!
This bride and groom had a beautiful wedding ceremony which honored the marigolds and the orange and black traditional colors of the El Dia de los Muertos celebration. They had their best friends and family with them on this celebration during the golden hour. The sun danced in the shadows and gave us a lot of creative light to play with. The bride was all smiles and the ceremony was complete with a knot-tying ceremony. The officiant was a dear friend of the bride’s and came from out of town. For a photographer, there is absolutely nothing like being in the right place at the right time! This couple was walking out to their wedding ceremony spot on the mesa when suddenly a rainbow appeared! This rainbow turned darker and more vivid and then, magically, the second rainbow manifests and shines! I can’t think of a better moment for this bride and groom. To have THESE wedding photos as your own…wow. Stunning.
After a very wet winter, the mesa is about as green as it gets! Sarah portrayed the desert-green beautifully in her portraiture of this elopement at the Taos gorge overlook. The weekday afternoon was quiet from hikers and passersby as Dan Jones of Embracing Ceremony officiated one of his personable wedding ceremonies. Dan and I both offer slightly different elopement wedding packages that offer our basic service of officiating and photography, and offers add-ons (bouquet, champagne, etc) as well.
This photogenic couple came all the way from New Orleans to Taos, NM to elope! The light was absolutely perfect for the wedding ceremony which was officiated by Dan Jones of Embracing Ceremony. There was a light breeze and it was so quiet on the mesa as it was a Wednesday evening and not a lot of hikers were about. The groom (a tattoo artist!) requested a green pepper in the bride’s bouquet, and there were two! Congratulations to Denise and Walter and many more happy journeys.
