I knew SOMETHING would make me inspired to start blogging again. Whew, the last few months have been rough! Am I right?!
The Class of 2020…bonded forever from a pandemic… This was a very special shoot for me because it’s my nephew. I shot this over several visits to Abq from Oct to February. Before Covid. How did we get this done before Covid? SO MANY seniors still haven’t had their senior shoot done. So many seniors wont have a senior shoot done this year, because everything is different. I’ve cried for this senior class and I’ve laughed with this senior class. I’ve joined Zoom graduation parties online and watched commencement celebrations done online by the best of the best. My heart hurts for this senior class. I can’t imagine not giving my friends hugs on my graduation day. But in the long run, it’s a really good story. And no one will ever forget what they were doing in the spring of 2020. And while everyone else went on with their lives as much as normal, the seniors graduated, and are moving onto a really big adventure no matter what the next step is. So Congrats to Josiah and to all of these other amazing seniors and cheers to many awesome days ahead. Love you!!!
Graduate Bella and I took advantage of the end of September and the end of the summer greens and yellows of the changing season. We were able to shoot this senior session at Bella’s grandparents’ home in Questa. It was private and fun to incorporate the old merry-go-round and other memories from Bella’s childhood. Here’s to all of the seniors in Questa and Taos and here’s to an awesome senior year! Hooray class of 2018!
After months of portraits with brown backgrounds there is a noticeable difference in the green of spring! Just ten days prior to this shoot, we had 12″ of snow on the ground in Taos Canyon. The earth has drank up the much needed water and everything is growing! Here’s to May, the last month that we may still have a freeze. And the first month where it really feels like spring!
And here’s to Samantha from Taos Pueblo! She’s a senior in high school and is graduating at the end of this month from Taos High School. Congratulations, Samantha!!
Class of 2017 has started their senior school year and we are enjoying meeting the students at their senior picture photo sessions! Our sessions last about 1.5 hours and are actually a lot of fun! Your senior can bring props and things that define them, let’s document them in a way that shows their personality! It was such a pleasure working with Angel in Penasco, NM to capture her senior photos for her graduation invitations! Penasco still had a little bit of snow on the ground so we were able to utilize the snow to get a variety of colorful backgrounds. Here’s to Angel and all of the other seniors graduating in the class of 2016 in Penasco, NM! Hooray!
