School portraits can be awkward! If your children attend school in Taos County, call us to schedule a free September or October outdoor photo session for your kiddo(s). In a 15-minute photo shoot we capture several different poses of your child. If you have more than one student, we will photograph your children separately, and with their siblings. Photo sessions are private and quick and your photos are ready to proof in one week. This free photo sitting is available to all Taos and Colfax County students but the actual photos session must be done in Town of Taos. As families grow and life gets busy, it’s easy to let your professional photos go by the wayside. Our longtime client, Crystal, never fails to schedule her yearly family portraits with us, as a result she has years of documentation of her babies growing up! This year Crystal had a yellow theme with her kids in yellow bowties and flipflops. The sunflowers were stubborn as they wanted to face the sun but they still made a stunning backdrop along with Taos Mountain.
Family sessions generally consist of photos of everyone together, sibling shots, and individual shots of the children. We capture both the posed and candid shots, as we want to show the total lifestyle of your family interacting with each other along with the pretty side.
The Taos High School seniors threw their hats into the air and the wind took them away: a perfect farewell for the class of 2022 who graduated during a windy and hot fire season.
The seniors in this graduating class have also endured high school during a pandemic with full on remote learning. It was emotional to hear Taos high school principal, CJ Grace, speak to the graduating class and honor the accomplishments.
I photographed Erin’s first baby as an infant, and a did a photo shoot of her 2nd pregnancy, and several family shoots in-between. Needless to say I was thrilled when Erin was in town with her four children and called me to capture her children’s smiles. We shot these photos at Lumina Gallery. We had the entire place to ourselves and had fun playing on by the sculptures.
Sonya and Adam are going to be wed this summer in Questa and will have their wedding reception at the Red River Convention Center! After rescheduling a few times, we finally captured this family and engagement session on a calm morning of what was otherwise a windy spring day in April. We were definitely “on the move” as this darling little boy is full of energy and wants to RUN!! Of course these kids will be the flower girl and ring bearer for the July wedding.
