For a dark, windy, winter evening, we rocked this engagement sitting and captured some amazing engagement photos. These women came to Taos from Portland, Oregon for a pandemic-getaway. They rented a house out on the mesa and they had their own little private courtyard complete with sculptures, prayer flags, and a labyrinth. We were able to use the photogenic design also incorporating the endless sea of sage and the Sangre de Cristo mountain range too. Congratulations to these women and their happily ever after, in progress!

We met exactly one hour prior to sunset and Mother Earth gave this couple the most beautiful wedding gift on their elopement…a perfect evening. The highlights in the sky were striking and continued to change during their 15-minute wedding ceremony which is part of Dan Jones’ elopement packages for his business, Embracing Ceremony. Cory, the groom, “hates” getting his photo taken, but Erin, the bride, wanted their once-in-a-lifetime elopement documented for future generations. We (including Cory!) had so much fun during this hour! We hiked and laughed and made memories. Here’s to fun destination elopements and enjoying the beauty of Taos, NM at the Rio Grande Bridge!

I’m so excited for these two to tie-the-knot at Angel Fire Resort this summer!! Both Monica and George are locals in Taos, New Mexico. We met out at the bridge to get the Taos landscapes in the backgrounds: the gorge, the Rio Grande, and Three Peaks. Both Monica and George had an outfit change so they could get some casual and some ‘fancy’ photos! It doesn’t show in these engagement pictures, but the temperature was COLD on this January day and no doubt these two are looking forward to their warm June wedding!

This darling couple road tripped all the way from Portland, Oregon to Taos, New Mexico to get married with Shaman, Sandra Chestnutt. The wedding took place on the mesa in the evening before sunset. We had outstanding light and perfect weather. There wasn’t a person for miles and the quiet was welcomed and embraced; out of no where an army helicopter was above us and hovered above the bride and groom, and then it was gone…an unexpected congratulations! The views of the Rio Grande Gorge were stunning and the ceremony was memorable. Congratulations to Lisa and Evan, a delightful pair who will no doubt live happily ever after.
