Few things can match the cheerful beauty of the sunflower-season in Taos, especially when it serves as the backdrop for family portraits. Recently, I had the joy of photographing a lovely mother and her two young boys amidst the golden blooms in Taos, New Mexico. The bright sunflowers, the playful energy of the boys, and the loving bond they share with their mother made for an enchanting and memorable photoshoot.
Taos is known for its stunning landscapes and vibrant artistic community, and in late summer to early fall, the sunflower fields become a highlight. These tall, sunny flowers create a striking sea of yellow, their faces following the sun across the sky. This natural beauty provided a perfect, whimsical setting for capturing the essence of family love.
