This family vacationed at Trail’s End in Angel Fire, which Alicia found on VRBO. What an awesome place for a family vacation! The log home is large and spacious, the front porch is to die for, and you can see the natural beauty that surrounded the house! The wildflowers were everywhere and the light was playing tricks on us. The beautiful fence went on for days along with the national forest on on three sides of the property. Can you believe it even rained, for about 50 seconds, and then suddenly the sun came out. We captured those rain shots, as we didn’t even stop shooting! The kids and dog (also considered a kid) had so much fun playing and posing for the photos. And although the fire season tried to steal our mountain views, the smoke only added to the gorgeousness. Angel Fire can be magical, and this was certainly one of those evenings.
This family came to the mountains of New Mexico to enjoy the wilderness and escape the Texas heat! This family vacation in Red River consisted of pony rides, biking, climbing, go carts, hiking, fishing, and a family photo shoot for upcoming Christmas cards! Although the kids wanted to be really silly, we talked them into some sweet smiles by promising some goofy photos too. Here’s to family vacations and having fun and capturing all of that in your memorable family photos.
Some families have annual family photo sessions to document how much their family changes each year; this is one of those families! I’ve been photographing this family for four years, since little Joni was a baby! These girls KNOW me and it’s taken a lot of anxiety out of family pictures since everyone feels so comfortable and knows what to expect from year to year. Family photo sessions usually only take about 45 minutes and we get some precious memories that last forever and ever. Capture your family photo for your Christmas cards or to update your framed photos around your home and grandma’s house too! Now booking for summer shoots and fall foliage sessions too!
The Call family is one big family! All five of the individual familiescame from five different states to meet up in Angel Fire, New Mexico for an extended family vacation! These travelers literally took planes, trains, and automobiles to make it out to this little mountain town. The 14 children and 10 adults all stayed in one rental home together and were ready when I arrived. Although we at times there was chaos, we captured some great photos and made precious memories for this huge family.
Like everything else, Covid-19 has made school pictures different this year! We met this family in a special and private spot in Carson National Forest right outside of Town of Taos. The outdoor area was ideal for removing masks and documenting the children’s ever-changing smiles. The girl in jeans is an only child and a surrogate-sibling to the other two kiddos. The two girls are best friends and have been raised together since toddlerhood. This boy considers both girls his sisters.
It was the hottest day of 2020 during this midafternoon vow renewal and elopement package, the grass was crunchy and the earth radiated extreme New Mexico heat at 104 degrees. This couple was as cool as cucumbers at their vow renewal at Bareiss Gallery at the blinking-light in Taos, NM. Katy and Daniel and their cutest-in-the-world baby had a pandemic get away from Colorado to Taos, NM for their private ceremony in front of sacred Taos Mountain. After this couples initial wedding five years ago, these two went through hell and back. This ceremony was a symbol of their renewal and promise of love and light. Although officiant Dan Jones, and I were suffering from the heat, this husband and wife were so into each other and only noticed one another and the babbling of their baby. After the wedding ceremony, this couple had a champagne toast with the owner of Bareiss Gallery and we ran around the sculpture garden for a few fun shots. Cheers to this awesome family and their new vows to give their love strength and story.
