April is a tricky month for outdoor senior portraits in Taos! Brandy’s high school senior photos turned out gorgeous, one would never guess that we photographed her in 35 degree temps (did I mention that chilly wind)!?! Even with the cold temps, we had a blast during this photo session. And isn’t the outdoor lighting stunning?! Congrats to the class of 2012 and thank you for your patronage!
Our high school photography sessions are so popular! No matter what time of year we do your high school senior’s pictures, we have fantastic natural backgrounds to show off your incredible senior and his/her personality. We love it when your senior brings several different changes of clothing, so we can capture various attitudes and interests. We also allow extra time for all of our senior sittings so there is plenty of time for different hair-dos and jewelry. Call us to schedule your senior’s photographs today!
August, September, and October are busy months for Poetic Images because of all of the high school senior portraits we do! Our “senior pictures” sessions last about an hour and a half and we shoot approximately 100 digital photographs during that time. We encourage seniors to bring up to six different outfits so we can capture the spirit of the student in clothing that mom/dad like AND clothing that the senior likes. We take photos of both traditional and contemporary poses so there are pictures that suit everyone’s taste!
Sunshine and Kat had these portraits taken so they could give their mom an awesome birthday present, their smiles! Portraits can be necessary in many different aspects. Maybe you need a high school yearbook photo, or a photo to put on your business card? Recently I have had a lot of calls for headshots for various dating websites or for Facebook profile photos. Portraits also make incredible gifts for Mother’s Day or Father’s Day, for Christmas, or to send with your son/daughter when they leave for college. Give Poetic Images by Deanna a call to schedule your portrait photo session today!
We are well into the new school year and I have been extremely busy shooting high school senior sessions! The seniors are always a blast to shoot; most seniors start out pretty nervous, but after a few minutes we are laughing and the smiles are genuine. I allow seniors to bring up to six different outfits to change into; I love seeing the different collections of clothing, shoes, and jewelry the students bring. I wish the class of 2012 a wonderful school year– I will see you at graduation!!
Although I have some fantastic places “up my sleeve,” I love it when my clients have new ideas on where to go for their on-location photo sessions. Places I have never been before are absolutely inspiring. New places make me think, and be sharp and quick about my decisions. Upon arrival I must scan the landscape for the best lighting and backgrounds and view “the big picture” so I can take advantage of both my telephoto and wide-angle lenses. The beauty of New Mexico is that there are always new places to discover; this gives me a never ending enthusiasm for not only my profession, but my passion: photography.
