Hurray for the first wedding of 2022! Cadia and Gareth made a last minute decision to get married on 1-1-22. Their wedding date was blessed by mother nature in the way of a giant winter storm that closed down Taos for several days following! Dan Jones had SpiriTaos shoveled and ready under the beautiful under the blanket of snow. Sacred Taos mountain played peek-a-boo. Gareth’s family joined the wedding via Zoom while Cadia’s mother and sister joined in person under the Ramada. The ceremony was as perfect as the gorgeous snow.

SpiriTaos is private property that is owned by wedding officiant, Dan Jones. This gorgeous spot has Taos Mountain as the exquisite backdrop for private wedding ceremonies. Have I mentioned that Dan is a professional landscaper and gardener? SpiriTaos was already gorgeous but has been getting a facelift these past eight months, and although it’s not complete yet, Toni and Steven were able to enjoy their wedding with the grassy meadows and beautiful views. The sun sets perfectly for a stunning golden hour light on the faces while still capturing Taos Mountain in the background. I can’t wait until this venue is completed, it’s one of the most perfect wedding venues in Taos.

New Mexico is known for it’s gorgeous sunshine and warm spring days. But not every outdoor wedding in New Mexico can be planned in advance and still have perfect weather on the day of the celebration! Stephanie and Trevor happened to get a cloudy, somewhat cool and breezy, April wedding day in the mountains of Taos. And it was perfect. The clouds set a dramatic mood along with Stephanie’s hat and Trevor’s purple tie. The horse across the street was out and about because of the cool temperatures. The gardens at SpiriTaos, still in hibernation but beautiful with earth tones and mountain views. Congratulations to this couple and their happily ever after that will be full of sunshine, no matter the weather.

This July afternoon was a gorgeous day for a green meadow wedding! The Taos Mountains looked on as Susan and JR said their wedding vows to each other with Dan Jones presiding over their wedding ceremony. Susan wore a blue wedding dress and had a matching mask for her pandemic wedding elopement. JR wore a white button down and sported an American flag buff. Per most couples, Susan and JR had to pivot with their large wedding plans to follow the health order and New Mexico Coronavirus guidelines that were placed when the state shut down in May. This elopement was lighthearted and fun despite the serious state of emergency our country is in. Although JR and Susan live in Albuquerque, they have a second home in Angel Fire that they like to visit when they escape to the mountains.
