Family portraits are not only for when you have small children. Family portraits are to document the different stages your family goes through. Family portraits show how you grow and change as a family.
This family from Penasco, NM came to Taos for their outdoor family photo session. The portraits were not painful and I think it’s very possible that we all actually had fun!
The fall foliage peak was over but we still found some beautiful autumn colors to include with this father-daughter family photo session. Lucas and Juniper and I took advantage of a beautiful side street in town that had a few lasting yellows and golds, it even had one tree that was still green! It was a long and strange autumn this year in Taos, the wonderful thing about that was we had lots of time to get every baby, family, senior, engagement shoot, and wedding whom wanted those gorgeous autumn earth tones in their portraits.
The autumn colors made fantastic backgrounds for all photos! Local Taos real estate agent, Jade Anaya, used the fall as an opportunity to update her photos for her business cards. Vanessa and Geno are engaged to be married in two weeks! We had a lot of fun during this photo shoot. Geno is funny and Vanessa just egged him on…definitely a match made in heaven! Many times I encourage my shoots to bring a change of clothing. This was the first time (EVER!) that I’ve had the groom bring a change of outfits but not the bride. That gave all of us a good chuckle! Many congrats (two weeks early) to Vanessa and Geno!
