The Gold of Fall Leaves

The Gold of Fall Leaves

Shawna and Jay planned months ahead and guessed when the time to get married under the wonder of the golden leaves in the autumn in Taos would be…and they nailed the date!! This year the *perfect* fall foliage date was the weekend of October 15th. The sun was shining and warm, there was a perfect light breeze. The bride had a autumn colored bouquet that was even adorned with some pine cones! The light was perfect coming through the leaves, it was a good day to be a photographer.

Green Grass and Golden Leaves

Green Grass and Golden Leaves

This bride and groom picked a beautiful, autumn day to travel from Denver, Colorado to Taos, New Mexico for a gorgeous, outdoor fall wedding. The leaves were floating off of the trees during the short wedding ceremony. Devon wore a delicate, vintage wedding dress. Her chamomile and daisy bouquet was simply wrapped in burlap. The red chiles were a beautiful contrast with the fall foliage, a reminder of the harvest that also takes place in the autumn. Cheers to this young couple and many beautiful autumns to come.

I absolutely cannot slim down my favorites to any fewer images from this high school senior session! I had so much fun with 2016’s Rio Arriba County Rodeo Queen, Autumn Sanchez, and her three horses and puppy! We did this senior shoot in Chama, and although we JUST missed the “peak” of the fall foliage, we still had beautiful autumn colors to work with. Congrats to another amazing senior, here’s to the class of 2016!

Autumn Engagement Shoot with Kayla and Mod!

Autumn Engagement Shoot with Kayla and Mod!

These women were awesome to work with and I absolutely love the coordinating outfits, especially the colors!
We squeezed in this shoot right before the first major snow in Taos. The leaves were still turning colors and the crisp nip of autumn was in the air. This engagement shoot is for Kayla and Mod’s wedding next September at KTAOS Solar Center. I cannot wait to see these cuties in their wedding gear, what a creative pair!

Blended Family Portraits

Blended Family Portraits

It’s October and in Taos the leaves are just starting to fall! There are slight yellows along with the greens in the leaves and grasses. The air is crisp and it’s easy to get those delicious rosy cheeks that are so wonderful in autumn photography. The temperatures are still warm considering what we will be shooting in next month, and the leaves will be golden in just another week or two. Call us and let us capture your family photographs and enjoy a family outing in the crisp and beautiful fall foliage!
