This high school senior from Los Alamos will be joining the navy after his high school graduation in May. Isiah wore a Navy t-shirt to commemorate his honor. He also brought four other shirts for a quick change and different look in his various photos. Congratulations to another senior from the Class of 2022!
This high school senior has a second home in Red River where she has spent her summers throughout childhood. We had so much fun popping around Red River to Katie’s favorite spots. Katie is a driven senior who loves country music and will to college at Texas A&M.
The Class of 2021… This is the class of high school students who missed in-person learning at the end of their junior year, only to endure zoom-classes for most of their senior year. With in-person classes finally resuming in April of 2021, this class of kids had mere weeks of high school time together, under masks, socially distanced, to learn and thrive before saying goodbye.
This class of Cottonwood Classical seniors were lucky enough to walk at graduation. They walked, with masks, across the stage, elbow-bumping their educators before receiving the diploma. Despite the insanity and chaos, they did it.
So here’s to the Class of 2021, who proved their resilience and ingenuity during a difficult and poignant time. You did it. Good luck in the future and congratulations!

I knew SOMETHING would make me inspired to start blogging again. Whew, the last few months have been rough! Am I right?!
The Class of 2020…bonded forever from a pandemic… This was a very special shoot for me because it’s my nephew. I shot this over several visits to Abq from Oct to February. Before Covid. How did we get this done before Covid? SO MANY seniors still haven’t had their senior shoot done. So many seniors wont have a senior shoot done this year, because everything is different. I’ve cried for this senior class and I’ve laughed with this senior class. I’ve joined Zoom graduation parties online and watched commencement celebrations done online by the best of the best. My heart hurts for this senior class. I can’t imagine not giving my friends hugs on my graduation day. But in the long run, it’s a really good story. And no one will ever forget what they were doing in the spring of 2020. And while everyone else went on with their lives as much as normal, the seniors graduated, and are moving onto a really big adventure no matter what the next step is. So Congrats to Josiah and to all of these other amazing seniors and cheers to many awesome days ahead. Love you!!!
High school senior photo shoots are so fun because we get to just enjoy taking pictures, without a lot of pressure on time! We popped by a few different locations for Emma’s senior pictures so we could have some natural backgrounds and some Taos style architecture as well. The beautiful uninterrupted mountain views were taken from the roof of the Taos movie theater where Emma worked for several years, what great pictures! We are always open to trying new venues and location, it is inspiring to be somewhere different, for us and for our photography subjects.
