Although we have been shooting tons of weddings, we always are shooting family, baby, and children’s portraits as well! The summertime is a wonderful time for children’s portraits as we have plenty of backgrounds and shady areas for children who may get bored if they are in one spot for too long! We captured Eli and Mr. Lion standing up for a few poses before we had to sit the little wiggle worm down. And then he felt like such a big boy sitting on the wall! Call us to capture your kids’ smiles in portraits that will touch your heart forever.
This awesome family came from Texas to hike up the Taos Ski Valley mountain to have this fabulous waterfall as the backdrop to their wedding ceremony. It was a gorgeous morning for a destination wedding. The delightful baby-daughter of the bride and groom slept in her car seat during the hike and woke up just as the ceremony started. This bride and groom were so relaxed and continued the ceremony with mom holding her daughter. Everyone was happy.
The Taos Ski Valley is a beautiful place for a wedding ceremony in the summer as well as the winter. This super fun wedding was followed by a reception afterwards at skiers and locals’ favorite restaurant, The Bavarian.
It was unusually hot outside on this June day, but the large cottonwoods and weeping willows at El Monte Sagrado kept everyone cool at this outdoor wedding! Brittany and Reed were perfectly on time for their photos and we were able to get the pre-wedding, ceremony, and altar photos with out a hiccup (hooray)! The bride and groom and guests had so much fun at the ballroom reception with hilarious photo props and tons of laughing! Congratulations to Brittany and Reed!
What fun to photograph the bride and bridesmaids at popular resort, Buffalo Thunder just North of Santa Fe. Maurine and Antonio’s wedding ceremony followed the pre-wedding photos and took place at famous pilgrimage site and Catholic Church: El Santuario de Chimayo. The ceremony was watched by both personal guests of the bride and groom, and by tourists whom were just visiting the sacred site. A random dog made himself comfortable next to the bridesmaids’ feet during the ceremony.
We traveled back to Taos for an awesome New Mexico reception (400+ people) at Sagebrush Convention Center. The band had everyone up and moving on the dance floor. The newly weds were lucky to have a beautiful sunset bless their marriage and we captured some outstanding silhouettes. Congratulations to Maurine (from Angel Fire) and Antonio (from Taos)!
Vanessa and Geno are engaged to be married in two weeks! We had a lot of fun during this photo shoot. Geno is funny and Vanessa just egged him on…definitely a match made in heaven! Many times I encourage my shoots to bring a change of clothing. This was the first time (EVER!) that I’ve had the groom bring a change of outfits but not the bride. That gave all of us a good chuckle! Many congrats (two weeks early) to Vanessa and Geno!
