Wedding at First Presbyterian Church in Taos, NM

Wedding at First Presbyterian Church in Taos, NM

This bride and groom were long time Taos locals before moving away and settling up in Colorado. The church, First Presbyterian of Taos, is conveniently located in the middle of Taos next to Kit Carson Park and a beautiful church for a wedding ceremony in a sanctuary. The exterior and interior of this old church are the traditional Pueblo style: adobe on the outside and adorned indoors with vigas on the ceiling and a simple cross on the wall. Afterwards the photographer took this couple out for a few photographs with the great Taos Mountain. Congratulations to lovely newlyweds!

Twinning!!!

Twinning!!!

These girls are two months old and what fun they are having looking and watching the action around them! This is a fun time to do photos as we can capture the wonder in the eyes. About three months old we can make the baby smile on command, and six months old is usually the photo shoot where the baby is sitting up solo. The next milestone, nine-months-old, is when children are usually standing up by holding onto something and the final photo is the one-year-old pose where the child is standing up all by themselves! These beautiful milestones are over quickly, which is why we capture images to keep forever. When you are pregnant, you can set up your prenatal photo session and then your newborn, 3/6/9 months, and year old photo shoot at one time and mix and match photos for a wall-folio.

Vow Renewal at Ojo Caliente Labyrinth

Vow Renewal at Ojo Caliente Labyrinth

After 20 years, these two decided to renew their wedding vows!! The sunset ceremony took place in Ojo Caliente, NM at the spa’s labyrinth. The light was beautiful and the “bride” and “groom” were so relaxed since this was “just” a vow renewal (their words)! The wedding ceremony written by Dan Jones integrated the labyrinth into the words and was spoken as the couple walked the maze. These two showed their light attitude in a high five as they passed one another during their ceremonious walk. A beautiful evening in Ojo Caliente.

Double Rainbow Wedding in Taos

Double Rainbow Wedding in Taos

For a photographer, there is absolutely nothing like being in the right place at the right time! This couple was walking out to their wedding ceremony spot on the mesa when suddenly a rainbow appeared! This rainbow turned darker and more vivid and then, magically, the second rainbow manifests and shines! I can’t think of a better moment for this bride and groom. To have THESE wedding photos as your own…wow. Stunning.

Arroyo Seco Elopement

Arroyo Seco Elopement

These ladies selected northern New Mexico’s small village of Arroyo Seco their destination wedding location. The “perfect venue” can many times be the yard of the home rental that you stay in. The New Mexico sky and the various hues of sagebrush lend gorgeous, natural backgrounds for use as the altar and “church.” Local wedding shaman, Sandra Chestnutt, performed an intense ceremony and there wasn’t a dry eye. Even the photographer.

Intimate Wedding Package at SpiriTaos Gardens

Intimate Wedding Package at SpiriTaos Gardens

A true elopement, these two came to Taos and tied the knot without anyone else knowing about their wedding! SpiriTaos was in full bloom and it was fun to use the plants with creativity. This ceremony was performed in front of a willow tree which gave us beautiful, even light. Congratulations to Arielle and Michael!
