After decades of being together, this couple decided to exercise their legal right to marry! Gary and Carl were married at four diamond resort, El Monte Sagrado, by Judge Shannon of Taos. The ceremony was short and sweet and ended with Judge Shannon playing the wedding march on his phone, we all had a good chuckle. The day was brisk and the expired leaves textured the trees and ground, it definitely felt like fall.
This photogenic couple came all the way from New Orleans to Taos, NM to elope! The light was absolutely perfect for the wedding ceremony which was officiated by Dan Jones of Embracing Ceremony. There was a light breeze and it was so quiet on the mesa as it was a Wednesday evening and not a lot of hikers were about. The groom (a tattoo artist!) requested a green pepper in the bride’s bouquet, and there were two! Congratulations to Denise and Walter and many more happy journeys.
St. Anthony’s Parish Chapel in Questa, NM is a beautiful backdrop for a wedding ceremony. Sonya and Adam live in Santa Fe but came “home” to Questa to say their wedding vows. The current priest at St. Anthony’s was a high school classmate of the groom which made this ceremony extra special for everyone involved. Sonya and Adam celebrated their wedding reception in Red River at the convention center. Congratulations to this lovely couple/family!!
The children’s young faces are so precious to document at then look at later on down the road. Rarely are photos taken for us, but for those that we love instead. The history of family photography goes back to the beginning of photography. Thank goodness in modern days we have the opportunity to capture smiles and movement without the entire photo being blurry which makes it easier on the photographer and the model!
