It’s “engagement season!!” More people get engaged between Halloween and Valentine’s Day than any other time of year. We love doing engagement sessions to mark this special time and our couples love having engagement photos so they can send off a save the date card to their guests! Engagement photos in the autumn and winter are a fun change from the summer and provide beautiful, earthy backgrounds.
Graduate Bella and I took advantage of the end of September and the end of the summer greens and yellows of the changing season. We were able to shoot this senior session at Bella’s grandparents’ home in Questa. It was private and fun to incorporate the old merry-go-round and other memories from Bella’s childhood. Here’s to all of the seniors in Questa and Taos and here’s to an awesome senior year! Hooray class of 2018!
This is the best time of year for senior photos; the fall colors beautiful in October, and then you have this ‘chore’ checked off your list for the rest of the senior year. Usually a senior shoot takes about 1.5 hours and that includes up to six outfit changes. We meet at a convenient Taos location and usually we have a lot of fun. I love exploring new areas and am open to your suggestions for shooting spots.
There is nothing more fun to look at than a smiling baby! Little Maya was so happy before her morning nap. She smiled with her big sister, and smiled with her family, and smiled all by herself! This little girl just celebrated her 1st birthday and was able to show off her big-girl standing in her one-year old portrait. We were also able to capture some fun shots of big-sister, and some individual headshots of mom and dad as well.
Having young children is the perfect excuse to have a professional family photo session!
It was fun to take these pics as part of this engagement session. The gentleman in these photos is a police officer. We were all laughing so hard as he did the full frisk on his fiance.
It’s always fun to photograph one of our wedding packages at The Taos Goji Farm!
This couple has been together since they were 13/14 year old. They were so easy going and fun to photograph!!
This destination wedding (elopement in fact) with officiant Dan Jones presiding, took place while the flower girl ran around doing her own thing (she didn’t go far)! After the ceremony we were able to capture some fun family photos with the alpacas. Congratulations to these young newlyweds who have already been together over a decade!
