Although we have been shooting tons of weddings, we always are shooting family, baby, and children’s portraits as well! The summertime is a wonderful time for children’s portraits as we have plenty of backgrounds and shady areas for children who may get bored if they are in one spot for too long! We captured Eli and Mr. Lion standing up for a few poses before we had to sit the little wiggle worm down. And then he felt like such a big boy sitting on the wall! Call us to capture your kids’ smiles in portraits that will touch your heart forever.
This awesome family came from Texas to hike up the Taos Ski Valley mountain to have this fabulous waterfall as the backdrop to their wedding ceremony. It was a gorgeous morning for a destination wedding. The delightful baby-daughter of the bride and groom slept in her car seat during the hike and woke up just as the ceremony started. This bride and groom were so relaxed and continued the ceremony with mom holding her daughter. Everyone was happy.
The Taos Ski Valley is a beautiful place for a wedding ceremony in the summer as well as the winter. This super fun wedding was followed by a reception afterwards at skiers and locals’ favorite restaurant, The Bavarian.
This bride and groom took a getaway weekend from Albuquerque and came up to Taos for their elopement at the Rio Grande Gorge. Their ceremony was officiated by Dan Jones of Embracing Ceremony. After the vows the couple exchanged necklaces instead of rings. The ceremony is currently a secret until they announce their marriage “down the road” when they are with friends and family. Congratulations to Denise and Jon!
It was unusually hot outside on this June day, but the large cottonwoods and weeping willows at El Monte Sagrado kept everyone cool at this outdoor wedding! Brittany and Reed were perfectly on time for their photos and we were able to get the pre-wedding, ceremony, and altar photos with out a hiccup (hooray)! The bride and groom and guests had so much fun at the ballroom reception with hilarious photo props and tons of laughing! Congratulations to Brittany and Reed!
What fun to photograph the bride and bridesmaids at popular resort, Buffalo Thunder just North of Santa Fe. Maurine and Antonio’s wedding ceremony followed the pre-wedding photos and took place at famous pilgrimage site and Catholic Church: El Santuario de Chimayo. The ceremony was watched by both personal guests of the bride and groom, and by tourists whom were just visiting the sacred site. A random dog made himself comfortable next to the bridesmaids’ feet during the ceremony.
We traveled back to Taos for an awesome New Mexico reception (400+ people) at Sagebrush Convention Center. The band had everyone up and moving on the dance floor. The newly weds were lucky to have a beautiful sunset bless their marriage and we captured some outstanding silhouettes. Congratulations to Maurine (from Angel Fire) and Antonio (from Taos)!
This gorgeous new baby came into the world at the end of May and was only six-weeks-old for this shoot. In 14 years of shooting, I have never had a 6-week-old smiling on-command! This baby also rolls over already…what an advanced little model! We had fun with little Maya, and after the shoot her sister, Luka (the dog), wanted to get some professional portraits in a tutu too!
We love shooting at your home for these new baby shoots. Not only does it make the baby more comfortable but it helps mama not have to leave home as well! If you are pregnant, schedule your baby’s first shoot now!
