Howard Badhand is a Lakota Native whom preforms wedding ceremonies in New Mexico and South Dakota. This couple came to have their destination wedding at El Monte Sagrado here in Taos, NM. The ceremony took place in a round room and had a spiritual flavor to reflect the Native culture of Northern New Mexico. The Native American peace pipe, prayer ribbons, and star quilt were integrated into the ceremony as well as western traditional wedding rings and wedding vows.
These two beautiful ladies had a mother-daughter get-away from Denver to Taos! We enjoyed a crisp autumn evening together at resort El Monte Sagrado. It was fun to stroll along the grounds and take advantage of the crunchy texture of the leaves and the plants in an array of colors. It had been over five years since this family had portraits taken so it was due time; don’t let another year slip by without capturing your family’s smiles! Call Poetic Images to schedule your family photo session. Our photographers pose and photograph very quickly and we love to do winter shoots with the snow!
This season we experienced a very early (and cold) winter in Taos. This family had to reschedule their family Christmas photo shoot several times due to snowstorms! We finally had the opportunity to get together for this sitting the week before Christmas, just in time to send out Christmas cards. Whew!
Mavis and Aaron won a free engagement sitting from Poetic Images by entering our website contest online. When I found out that they have a year old son, we decided to get some family photographs as well. The leaves on the trees were changing and offered us colorful and unique natural backdrops. Mavis and Aaron will exchange their wedding vows next August at the Angel Fire Country Club.
While attending a wedding in the mountains of Utah, I took some time out to capture some photos for this family’s 2014 Christmas cards! Family photos are very popular at this time of year since many people share a photo with friends and family for the holidays. Call and schedule your holiday family pictures and share a smile with your loved ones from miles away.
With the current state of bare trees and snow on the ground, it’s hard to believe this wedding was just over a month ago! Anne and Kevin picked the perfect weekend to get married under the beautiful fall foliage of autumn in Taos, NM! There was a crisp feeling in the air and the leaves added a beautiful texture to the photos. The wedding ceremony and reception took place at local resort El Monte Sagrado.
