Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish Ceremony / Sagebrush Convention Reception

Christal and Joshua got married off of the Taos plaza at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish. Christal’s favorite colors are watermelon and lime and these colors stand out brilliantly in the photographs. Christal and Josh have a darling little boy who was the ring bearer and responded well when he was given gum or candy. This was the kind of wedding that makes me love being a photographer. These guys had a beautiful ceremony, a fun reception with amazing guests, and were just awesome to be around. Their wedding photos reflect how in love Christal and Josh are.

St. Francis to El Monte Sagrado via Taos Trolley

The San Francisco de Asis, also known as St. Francis, is one of the most famous cathedrals in New Mexico. Vanessa and Charlie tied the knot at this famous church and then the entire wedding party took the Taos Trolley around the plaza (driving around the plaza after a wedding in Taos is tradition here) to end at destination El Monte Sagrado for a gorgeous reception.

Town of Taos Eco Park Grand Opening

I won the bid and received a contract through the Town of Taos to photograph the opening day of the Taos Eco Park. The Taos Eco Park is a state of the art synthetic turf field that has been 20 years in the making. The park opened with one field; two more fields will be added to the park. Also the entire parking lot will be covered with solar panels, meaning the Eco Park will be run totally on solar power.
The Taos Eco Park’s ribbon cutting and grand opening was a warm and windy day, everything went off without a hitch.

Photos of an Empty Taos Eco Park

In my contract as the official photographer for the Town of Taos Eco Park, I was to take some photos of the FIFA certified soccer field while it was empty. I loved being alone to walk around on that bouncy turf to take photos with the sunshine and the sunset, the mountains, the park’s development, the lights and parking lot. I love that the parking lot will be covered in solar panels and the Taos Eco Park will run off of solar power. It was really neat getting this contract and being part of the opening of this green park.

Headshots and Photo Session for Taos Attorney

Betsy Musselman, Taos attorney specializing in family law, had me come to her law office to take some photos for her new website. I took pictures of her office (check out the amazing colors in her rooms) and head shots of Betsy for new business cards. Poetic Images has been doing tons of photography for websites, business cards, and other forms of business advertising.

Sharing Photographs with Loved Ones Far Away

Sharing Photographs with Loved Ones Far Away

Kiara and her mommy took photos to send to Kiara’s daddy in Iraq. This one-year-old’s portrait session was exciting as Kiara is crawling and loves to be on the move! I love a challenge and children’s portraits present challenges constantly. I take pride in the photos that come out of a tricky shoot and love the memories that are created during the shoot, and also captured in a timeless photograph.
