This glowing couple came up from Alamorgordo, NM to Taos to celebrate their wedding ceremony and reception at popular resort, El Monte Sagrado. The ceremony was in the Bohemian Gallery where the lighting and ambiance were perfect for this artsy Taos wedding. The reception was in El Monte’s exquisite ballroom where the chandeliers and mirrors lend themselves beautifully to an experienced photographer.
Local Taos residents, Rachel and Justin, had an intimate outdoor wedding ceremony to celebrate their love and commitment on Valentine’s Day! There were about 40 guests present, all close friends and family. Justin’s Scottish ethnicity influenced the red plaid which was a beautiful combination with the heart decorations. The full moon was still present behind the cloud cover and the night temperature was warm for February. This beautiful couple enjoyed a reception at Old Martina’s Hall.
Howard Badhand is a Lakota Native whom preforms wedding ceremonies in New Mexico and South Dakota. This couple came to have their destination wedding at El Monte Sagrado here in Taos, NM. The ceremony took place in a round room and had a spiritual flavor to reflect the Native culture of Northern New Mexico. The Native American peace pipe, prayer ribbons, and star quilt were integrated into the ceremony as well as western traditional wedding rings and wedding vows.
With the current state of bare trees and snow on the ground, it’s hard to believe this wedding was just over a month ago! Anne and Kevin picked the perfect weekend to get married under the beautiful fall foliage of autumn in Taos, NM! There was a crisp feeling in the air and the leaves added a beautiful texture to the photos. The wedding ceremony and reception took place at local resort El Monte Sagrado.
Every bride and groom have a story! This fantastic couple was married to each other twenty years ago. They raised three sons. They experienced some hardships and decided to get divorced. After living apart for several years, they realized they couldn’t survive without one another. So they eloped to Northern New Mexico to remarry and restart “happily every after.” This wedding took place next to the breathtaking Rio Grande Gorge. The ceremony was perfect and the smiles and tears were touching and sincere.
George and David eloped! This wonderful Colorado couple began their life together 31 years ago. They had a previous commitment ceremony but before their Taos wedding, their union was not recognized legally. This intimate wedding was going to take place outside at the Taos Courthouse, but after consideration these gentlemen decided to get married outdoors in Arroyo Seco. Mother Nature sent snow on the day of the October wedding, so instead the beautiful ceremony (officiated by Judge Jeff McElroy) took place in the great room at The Cottonwood Inn. I had the honor to be one of the official witnesses and was proud to sign this same-sex marriage license!
