This was a VERY cold weekend in Taos and this couple did not complain one time! Despite the cold, we had a lot of fun getting to know one another during this engagement session. I will shoot this couple’s wedding in May in Santa Fe so an engagement shoot was a great way for us to work together prior to the big day!
This shoot may have made my personal record for “most poses in the shortest amount of time.” I think this entire Christmas session was done in under four minutes. The wind was bitter cold but that cloudy sky and beautiful snow were absolutely perfect! For a two-year-old, this little guy did an amazing job and was an impeccable young model!
This couple did not want anything fancy for their wedding so they decided to get married at the Taos County Courthouse. Judge Shannon officiated the casual wedding ceremony. The wedding vows and ring exchange was completed in less than five minutes, it took longer to get the marriage license! When we walked outside we were greeted with a winter snowstorm (there wasn’t a bit of snow on the ground when we entered the courthouse) which was a surprise and certainly good luck on a wedding day. Congratulations to Alida and Mark!

This season we experienced a very early (and cold) winter in Taos. This family had to reschedule their family Christmas photo shoot several times due to snowstorms! We finally had the opportunity to get together for this sitting the week before Christmas, just in time to send out Christmas cards. Whew!
