Sunrise Wedding Ceremony at Taos Bed and Breakfast

Sunrise Wedding Ceremony at Taos Bed and Breakfast

The early morning July air was cool as this young bride and groom waited patiently for their dream wedding…a summertime sunrise elopement in a small, desert, mountain town. This couple came from the city so the sounds of silence were the perfect “music” for their intimate wedding ceremony. The officiant, Dan Jones, wrote a beautiful ceremony integrating the labyrinth walk into the words of the devotions. When the sun broke through over the mountains and instantly warmed the outdoors, this wedding felt so perfect and right. The light in the bride’s eyes was magical.
The labyrinth is one of several private gardens that we offer to be used as a ceremony venue for our larger elopement packages.

After a very wet winter, the mesa is about as green as it gets! Sarah portrayed the desert-green beautifully in her portraiture of this elopement at the Taos gorge overlook. The weekday afternoon was quiet from hikers and passersby as Dan Jones of Embracing Ceremony officiated one of his personable wedding ceremonies. Dan and I both offer slightly different elopement wedding packages that offer our basic service of officiating and photography, and offers add-ons (bouquet, champagne, etc) as well.

Intimate Wedding in El Salto, NM

Intimate Wedding in El Salto, NM

This hike above the waterfall in El Salto is steep and can be a bit treacherous, but it completely worth the absolute privacy and stunning views of the Sangre de Cristos! This venue is not usually included with our elopement wedding packages but is offered as an upgrade. Other venues for our elopement packages include a private garden with mountain views, a pathway labyrinth, and the confluence of the Rio Pueblo and the Rio Grande.
Dan Jones officiated this ceremony and I swear time may have stood still during the vows…of the few people present there was not a dry eye… Now booking for 2020.

Outdoor December Elopement

Outdoor December Elopement

Another awesome elopement package!! This couple came up to Taos from Albuquerque to escape the big city and to tie-the-knot! Taos had a surprise snow the night prior to this outdoor wedding and the continued wind blew the remaining leaves off of the trees, onto the snow! The wind stood still while the ceremony was performed and the snow brought a quiet beauty. Congrats to Martha and Elias and their blessed wedding on first real snow of 2018!

After decades of being together, this couple decided to exercise their legal right to marry! Gary and Carl were married at four diamond resort, El Monte Sagrado, by Judge Shannon of Taos. The ceremony was short and sweet and ended with Judge Shannon playing the wedding march on his phone, we all had a good chuckle. The day was brisk and the expired leaves textured the trees and ground, it definitely felt like fall.

Elopement Wedding Overlooking Taos Gorge

This photogenic couple came all the way from New Orleans to Taos, NM to elope! The light was absolutely perfect for the wedding ceremony which was officiated by Dan Jones of Embracing Ceremony. There was a light breeze and it was so quiet on the mesa as it was a Wednesday evening and not a lot of hikers were about. The groom (a tattoo artist!) requested a green pepper in the bride’s bouquet, and there were two! Congratulations to Denise and Walter and many more happy journeys.
