Same-sex Marriage in the High Dessert

Same-sex Marriage in the High Dessert

These gentlemen were encouraged to come to Taos for their destination elopement! Neither of these grooms had ever been to Taos and (thank God) they fell in love with it immediately!
The wedding was at a private home. After being together for over a decade this couple was still very nervous prior to the no-guest ceremony. The outdoor wedding ceremony was about fifteen minutes long and a few good-luck snow flakes even came down. Congratulations on this couple and many more decades of love!

Blue Blood Moon at Adobe and Pines Inn

Blue Blood Moon at Adobe and Pines Inn

I got together with this darling couple earlier in the afternoon on wedding day since their entire wedding was outdoors after dark. We captured their smiles in the daylight before I left to come back after dark.
This bride and groom came to Taos for their destination elopement and planned the ceremony to be during the 2nd full moon in January. This full moon was also a lunar eclipse. This was officially my first “Blue Blood Moon” wedding. Additionally, the wedding was shot in a labyrinth… It was unique and beautiful and very Taos!

First Wedding Photographed in 2018

This bride and groom had never been to Taos before their wedding; their best friends (from Albuquerque) suggested this resort in Taos and the wedding location was decided!
It was the 5th of January and it was over 50 degrees on this warm winter day. We did the pre-wedding photos outdoors and then moved into a gallery with a pretty view of treetops! Congratulations to Lori and Matt and here’s to the first wedding photographed in 2018!

Taos Goji Farm

Taos Goji Farm

It’s always fun to photograph one of our wedding packages at The Taos Goji Farm!
This couple has been together since they were 13/14 year old. They were so easy going and fun to photograph!!
This destination wedding (elopement in fact) with officiant Dan Jones presiding, took place while the flower girl ran around doing her own thing (she didn’t go far)! After the ceremony we were able to capture some fun family photos with the alpacas. Congratulations to these young newlyweds who have already been together over a decade!

Destination Wedding and Elopement Wedding Ceremony in Town of Taos

Destination Wedding and Elopement Wedding Ceremony in Town of Taos

This was a delightful elopement! This couple came from Northern California to elope in Taos! Judge Shannon presided over the very short ceremony which left us a lot of time to get some romanticy shots of the bride and groom. We managed to carry out this ceremony/photography during a clearing on a stormy evening. Congratulations to these newly weds and thank you for coming to Northern New Mexico for your destination wedding!

4th of July Elopement in Forest

4th of July Elopement in Forest

He traveled from Oregon and she traveled from Mississippi and they eloped in Taos, NM! We had such a good time hanging out in the woods, off a trail in El Salto. The morning air was cool and the woods were quiet. The ceremony, license signing, toast, and formal photos took just about one hour and then we all headed into Arroyo Seco for the famous 4th of July parade down Main Street! I love 4th of July weddings, something about getting married on a day that celebrates independence, it’s delightfully ironic!
