A Wedding in an Earthship in Taos, NM

Lindsay and Ryan took an Amtrak train across the country to elope in Taos, New Mexico! They chose to stay in a few different off-the-grid Earthships while they visited Northern New Mexico, and have their wedding ceremony in one! The Earthship Biotecture home was a beautiful spot for their morning wedding ceremony. Dan Jones wrote a unique ceremony which spoke about the earth and mountains around the community. Lindsay wore a dress that she crocheted herself and Ryan wore a seersucker suit because his made-to-order suit did not arrive on time. They laughed and enjoyed the struggles and triumphs it took to travel to make their wedding day happen. It was beautiful

Taos Wedding on a Snowy December Day

Manndi and Justin’s wedding ceremony was indoors El Pueblito United Methodist Church in El Prado, NM. The stained glass altar backdrop was pretty with the Christmas decorations. This bride and groom eloped to Taos with dreams of an outdoor ceremony with mountain views. Instead they were greeted by a blizzard, not a mountain in sight! After their wedding ceremony the newlyweds laughed and played in the snow, posed for photos, and stayed warm by the power of love.

New Year’s Day Formal Elopement

On New Year’s Day I had the pleasure of photographing this formal resort elopement in the round room of El Monte Sagrado. Howard Bad Hand led the soft vows after a quiet sage smudging ceremony. The wedding couple was blessed as were their rings and quiet prayers were offered. The tobacco ties were gorgeous and because the “something blue” of the wedding.

Local Taos couple, Joann and James, squeezed in their wedding before the giant blizzard that greeted 2022! This afternoon wedding ceremony was moved to the living room at Hacienda del Sol which was cozy and warm with the fire. Crystal Martinez read the nuptials as the bride and groom exchanged vows and rings. The micro wedding had seven guests: the moms and five dear friends. We captured pictures of the

With fur capes and Sorel snow boots, the bride, bridesmaids, and flower girls were decked out and ready for this wintertime wedding in Red River, NM! The ceremony took place in Carson National Forest at Junebug Campground. The bride and groom travelled from Texas for their destination micro wedding in this winter wonderland. The bride, groom, and guests were all crying as the vows and kiss sealed their nuptials. The Ponderosa pines and icy pond were the perfect backdrop for this winter wedding. Congratulations to Kyle and Amberly!
