This little guy is a “regular” as I have done portraits of him at 9 months and as a newborn! Rivers warmed up to the camera quite quickly and after a few poses decided he’d rather explore instead. It was fun to capture Rivers as he was enjoying the outdoors, as an 18 month old should! I’m already looking forward to the next shoot I have with this sweet boy!
This couple is busy getting ready for their wedding on Easter weekend! Monique and Miguel will celebrate their wedding with a small ceremony and reception of close friends and family. This marriage will take place at Stella’s with dinner and drinks to follow. There is also talk about getting a limousine for the traditional drive (and lots of honking) around the Taos plaza!
Little Brogan woke up from a hard sleep and wasn’t very excited about his 4-month-old baby portraits (and first professional baby modeling session)! After lots of tickling and convincing, I captured a few of this baby boy’s precious toothless smiles.
I love taking advantage of Albuquerque’s Bosque when I am shooting down in The Duke City! El Bosque (the forest) is by the Rio Grande and much more lush than a lot of places in Albuquerque. The cottonwoods are both new and old, and give us both needed shade and beautiful lines in the backgrounds of our photos.
I had a wonderful time “playing” down by the river, especially with these kids. The hike with this family (and their dog) was fun and adventurous, an outstanding day out of the office!
Julie and Julian had a private and intimate ceremony at a location they stumbled upon while hiking outside of Taos. The cross and arch adorned this outdoor scene and a sign “heaven awaits” was a little walk away. The couple and their children took part in a sand ceremony together. The children were also included in the nuptials when the bride and groom recited vows to one another and to their kids as well.
People who visit Angel Fire, Red River, Taos, and the rest of Northern New Mexico tend to LOVE it here. For this reason, we are consistently shooting family shoots while people are vacationing; people want to document the smiles and memories made in such a special place! These photo sessions happen (inside and outdoors) at all times of the year. The beautiful backgrounds (green grass, adobe architecture, grandiose mountains, running water, thick forest, white snow, etc) are plentiful and photogenic. A family shoot of up to 15 people only takes about one hour. We take unlimited poses during this time: group shots, individual family shots, grandma/grandpa with grandkids, cousins only, siblings only, etc!
