Taos Wedding on New Year’s Day!

Taos Wedding on New Year’s Day!

Laila and Joe came all the way from Oklahoma City, OK to get married in Taos, NM! This small and intimate wedding was held at Hacienda del Sol, a bed and breakfast in Taos that caters to many destination weddings. The brisk air didn’t stop this couple from stepping outside to take some pictures with the beautiful and wintery backgrounds that January in Taos offers. The ceremony took place inside of the charming hacienda, in front of a warm fireplace, with Reverend Karen Baldwin officiating.

This couple has a wedding scheduled at Hacienda del Sol in Taos, NM on the first day of 2012. At the beginning of December, they called the Town of Taos about obtaining their marriage license and they found out that all government offices in Taos would be closed on Friday, December 30 through January 2nd, the only days Laila and Joe would be in Taos! So this smiley couple drove from Oklahoma City to Taos for a “quick” road trip, all so they would have a marriage license in hand for their wedding on New Years Day.
What an adventure!!

Creative Wedding Aisle With Fall Leaves

Audrey and Robert had an intimate wedding ceremony at a Taos bed and breakfast, Hacienda del Sol. This couple walked down a unique aisle of green grass, created by absence of the beautiful autumn leaves that covered the rest of the Hacienda’s grounds. The mountains were a gorgeous backdrop to a perfect ceremony. Jimmy Stadler played acoustic guitar and there was a crisp autumn feeling in the air. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, there is NOTHING like a Taos wedding!

Romantic Setting and Green Courtyard at Hacienda del Sol

Sharon and John live in Virginia and came to Taos to elope and have their intimate destination wedding ceremony in front of beautiful Taos Mountain. This springtime wedding took place at beautiful bed and breakfast La Hacienda del Sol right on Taos Main Street. The flowers were done locally by Mercedes of Elegante Floral. There was a plaid ribbon wrapped around the bouquet that matched the Scottish groom’s tux bow tie… cool!! Congratulations to Sharon and John!!
