Spring Wedding with Mountain Views

Spring Wedding with Mountain Views

Heather and Joel traveled a long way from their home in Virginia to their intimate, destination wedding in Taos, NM! This couple was all smiles on their March wedding day. Bed and Breakfast, Hacienda del Sol, hosted this wedding in their courtyard with mountain views. The snow made an intense appearance on Taos Mountain and provided a dramatic background and beautiful contrast in the photos. Eight guests came from around the country to join this couple on their wedding day and all guests stayed at this local venue with the bride and groom.
Congratulations to these sweet newlyweds and their beautiful love!!

Senior Sitting for High School Graduation

Senior Sitting for High School Graduation

High school senior photo shoots are so fun because we get to just enjoy taking pictures, without a lot of pressure on time! We popped by a few different locations for Emma’s senior pictures so we could have some natural backgrounds and some Taos style architecture as well. The beautiful uninterrupted mountain views were taken from the roof of the Taos movie theater where Emma worked for several years, what great pictures! We are always open to trying new venues and location, it is inspiring to be somewhere different, for us and for our photography subjects.

Red River Vacation Pictures

Red River Vacation Pictures

These snowy portraits came out perfect considering we started and finished this shoot in 33 minutes, a very amazing feat with a four year old and 2 year old in the freezing cold! This mom and dad were so calm and did an amazing job as they distracted their children enough to not feel the current 20 degree temperature; our photographer was in a parka, hat, and gloves!

This photo session was shot along the banks in Red River, New Mexico. We also took a quick trip to the bottom of the ski lift to capture a ray of sunshine. We love capturing the smiles of families on vacation. Red River is such a beautiful area and it’s so easy to find backgrounds that reflect the nature and mountainous beauty of Northern New Mexico.

Outdoors in Snowy Angel Fire

Outdoors in Snowy Angel Fire

This giant family came to celebrate New Year’s Day in Angel Fire, New Mexico. The day prior to this photo shoot the mountains received two feet of fresh snow, it was so fun to capture the snowy grounds, conifers, and aspens in these outdoor January family vacation portraits!
The priority to this family was to get a causal group photos of everyone… The darling buffalo plaid outfits were so coordinated and seasonal and the children were so cooperative, this was an easy feat. We also captured each individual family outside. These memories took less than an hour to create and the pictures are precious and will last forever. Thanks to this family for such a memorable time!

Outdoor December Elopement

Outdoor December Elopement

Another awesome elopement package!! This couple came up to Taos from Albuquerque to escape the big city and to tie-the-knot! Taos had a surprise snow the night prior to this outdoor wedding and the continued wind blew the remaining leaves off of the trees, onto the snow! The wind stood still while the ceremony was performed and the snow brought a quiet beauty. Congrats to Martha and Elias and their blessed wedding on first real snow of 2018!

Angel Fire Winter Family Portraits

Angel Fire Winter Family Portraits

Cat and her family came to northern New Mexico from Texas for a snowy winter vacation, and it snowed and snowed! Beautiful conifers adorned the property surrounding their cabin and they were a gorgeous backdrop for these family portraits. Everyone suited up in their winter boots and we knocked this photo session out in 45 minutes which included a quick drive to capture the ski slopes in the background too. As soon as we were done with these pictures, the snow started up again. Cheers to a very snowy winter!!!
