We love that we are the official photographer for Taos School of Music that resides at Hotel St. Bernard in Taos Ski Valley every summer. These genius musicians are beyond outstanding, what a pleasure to document them enjoying life in this unique and exquisite summer school.
After many intense weeks of practice up at the TSV, these kids put on four different concerts at the Taos Community Auditorium and Poetic Images by Deanna is back to capture still images of these formal concerts as well. We are beyond impressed with this school and these inspiring musicians, thank you to Taos School of Music for this fun and different photography opportunity!
Joy and Rob traveled from California to New Mexico to elope among the mountains of Arroyo Seco. Taos Mountain is considered very sacred to the Indigenous population in Taos. Joy and Rob were married in a ceremony that paid a great deal of respect to Taos Mountain (Pueblo Peak) and the Sangre de Cristo mountain range. This couple honored the native wedding traditions in the southwest, including the traditional wedding vase ceremony. As soon as the ceremony ended, the sun exploded into the golden hour. We walked through a high-desert field for some romanticy photographs and the bride and groom found a horseshoe (sure to be good luck)! Congrats to these amazing people!
This couple came to Taos for a true desert elopement as no one knew they were off on a vacation to get married! Michelle and Jeff walked the labyrinth at Adobe Bed and Pines to the “altar” where they were wed by local officiant Dan Jones. The ceremony spoke of the labyrinth and a local flutist played soft music. After signing the marriage license we went to the rim of the gorge for some golden-hour photos. The next day I popped by the tattoo parlor to get photos of this couple receiving their wedding tattoos! Congratulations to Michelle and Jeff!!
Kristina and Chris live in Albuquerque and escaped from the big city to catch some mountain air on their wedding day! This couple had 20 friends and family meet them in Taos, NM for the ceremony and mini reception. After a very dry winter, it was refreshing to see the beautiful green grass at Taos’ bed and breakfast Hacienda del Sol. Sacred Taos Mountain overlooked on the ceremony as officiant Dan Jones presided. Afterwards the couple celebrated with a toast and cake cutting and outdoor mingling with their guests.
These locals brought their best friends and closest family for a lovely ceremony with Taos mountain views and a beautiful garden! Hannah and Ryan couldn’t have known that they would get the best night in June for their outdoor summertime ceremony. The temperature was perfect and the breeze was ever so slight. The priority photos for this bride and groom were romantics, so we had fun walking around and getting creative.
