A Sunshiny Day and SpiriTaos!

A Sunshiny Day and SpiriTaos!

The beauty that SpiriTaos offers is unconditionally pristine! Every plant and stone is perfectly placed by officiant (and gardener) Dan Jones. Each month offers various flowering plants, fruits, and vegetables! The sound of water is present from everywhere in the garden and the energy just feels “right” for a wedding. The unobstructed mountain views are the perfect backdrop for your wedding at an altar adorned with heart rocks and red willow.

Destination Wedding at Bed and Breakfast

It never ceases to amazing me how many people travel to Taos to get married! It is not necessarily “easy” to get here. Usually people need to fly into Albuquerque and then rent a car to make the 2.5 hour drive to Taos which is located in Northern New Mexico. When there are guests attending the wedding celebrations, there is a lot of thought and preparation into the travel alone!

However I do believe that Taos must be the perfect place to get married! The weather here is perfect nearly every day. The people here are genuinely kind and helpful. The views of the Sangre de Cristo mountain range and sagebrush filled mesas are inspiring and look as though they are out of a book. The architecture and “off the grid” living are unique and special.

So even if Taos is not a hop, skip, and jump away, the wonder of Taos is worth it. Consider Taos, New Mexico to be your destination wedding venue. Bring your guests or consider eloping off the beaten path, in a place that used to be referred to as the wild west.

Wedding at Art Gallery with Taos Mountain

Wedding at Art Gallery with Taos Mountain

John and Lauren came from Colorado to use the beautiful and artsy backdrop of Taos, NM for their wedding photos! The ceremony took places at Thom Wheeler’s popular art gallery. After the ceremony, we went to the plaza in Ranchos de Taos to photograph the bride and groom with famous mission church, San Francisco de Asis. The newlyweds then took the traditional drive around the Taos Plaza before heading back to the art gallery for the wedding reception. The Taos Mountain was radiant when it was touched by the light of the setting sun.

Danielle and Chris were wed with Danielle’s father officiating the ceremony. The sky was a gorgeous blue and the beautiful Taos fall foilage just beginning to turn. Danielle’s bridesmaids were in black dresses with splashes of red adorning their feet and hair. The majestic Taos Mountain turned a beautiful pink as the sun set on this couple’s perfect wedding day.

Photos to Document 10th Anniversary

Jennifer and Juan came to Taos, NM from Housten, Texas to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary! We went out to El Prado to do this shoot. Juan does not like to be photographed but we all had a good time talking and laughing and he ended up relaxed and looking great in these photos! I do believe that having a good personality is one large reason why I am successful as a photographer. I love to chat with people and I get along with everybody; this directly reflects in how relaxed my subjects feel and makes the images even that much better.
