Julie and Julian had a private and intimate ceremony at a location they stumbled upon while hiking outside of Taos. The cross and arch adorned this outdoor scene and a sign “heaven awaits” was a little walk away. The couple and their children took part in a sand ceremony together. The children were also included in the nuptials when the bride and groom recited vows to one another and to their kids as well.
The fall time colors were just starting to appear at this early October engagement shoot! We can usually get about 80 REALLY fantastic photos in about 45 minutes during your photo session. We always get traditional and “artsy” photos of the engaged couple, and photos of you separately if you’d like as well. There is nothing like standing next to class 3 rapids to photograph the union of two wonderful women! This couple came all of the way from Indiana to Taos, NM (well, actually Pilar, NM) to have a legal marriage! The wedding took place where two rivers come together, the perfect metaphor for a wedding ceremony. The roar from the water and the hollers of “congrats” from the whitewater rafters intensified the already extraordinary energy of this wedding. Officiant, Dan Jones of Embracing Ceremonies, delivered a gorgeous ceremony, there was not a dry eye among the guests. Congrats to Kim and Melissa!
