Lori and Sam held their wedding ceremony and reception at the Taos Country Club. These newlyweds were blessed with a gorgeous day, beautiful blue skies, and puffy white clouds. As soon as the sun began to go down, the sky turned into an amazing portrait of yellows, oranges, and purples and we captured some amazing sunset photographs.
Cassandra and Joe were married at the 1st Presbyterian Church south of Taos in a little village called Dixon. The Presbyterian Church has a beautiful red altar that sets off the photos with color and contrast. Cassandra carried a lavender and purple wedding bouquet and had the aisle adorned in lavender and purple flowers. Congratulations to Cassandra and Joe!
Amanda and Jason came to Taos from Albuquerque to recite their wedding nuptials at the green resort, El Monte Sagrado. This June day was absolutely perfect for a wedding. The grass was green and the flowers around this resort were in bloom and fragrant. The reception followed the ceremony in the Rio Grande Ballroom where the bride and groom had their first dance. The wedding party consisted of four girls, four guys, a flower girl, and a ring bearer.
Stephanie and Stephen came to Taos, NM to tie the knot at the Hacienda del Sol, a local bed and breakfast. Staying true to his Scottish heritage customs, Stephen wore a traditional Kilt complete with socks and flashes, belt buckle, and a dress Sporran. After their small and intimate wedding ceremony, this bride and groom celebrated with champagne, signing their wedding license, and the cutting of their cake.
“We have all stood in places that made us pause and feel the earth beneath our feet — the Sacred Circle is just such a place. At the heart of El Monte Sagrado, this green space of 80-year-old cottonwood trees is said to have once been a Native American dancing ground. Flowing waterfalls, stone water sculptures, a wooden footbridge, and a trout-stocked pond invite you to stop and enjoy the moment. Lush regional plants and flowers offer a place to meditate, contemplate and relax. The Sacred Circle is also a very special venue for private events and weddings.” –Taken from the El Monte Sagrado website
